The Push has been in the works since 2013, and if we count the things we wanted to add to CVM that actually made it into The Push, we can almost say that we started around 2022. After all these years working slowly on it, we got some real “PUSHES” this year, 2026, starting with the fact that we showed the game around.
The first time was Busan Indie Connect 2025, where we had our first players trying it and… it went ok but we knew it was not the game as we would like it to be in the end. We knew it was just a prototype.
So, we pushed again, BitSummit 2026, Busan Indie Connect 2026, and finally Tokyo Game Show 2026. With the help of a group of testers, friends and people from the community, we saw that it was actually possible to go as far as a Vertical Slice of the game, and it is what we did.

Today, I must admit that I am quite proud of how far we’ve gotten, especially knowing that we are almost only 1.5 people working on it lately.
I had so much help around that I always feel like we are a big team, but actually all the help that I get is generally someone helping me on the way for X months, then going back to their life.
And I am Pushing against the odds trying to get this game to have its proper chance in a world where you almost don’t need humans to create a game anymore.
The Push is a game that kind of represents what I have been doing since we started Momo-Pi with Persephone. Pushing whatever the cost and whatever the odds, and continuing to dream about being 100% independent of any companies, doing my stuff freely, with friends and family, until it is not my thing anymore.

So, to come back to TGS, because that is what we talk about here. It has given me hope again. Hope is the worst in a sense, hope gives you an idea of the bright future, knowing this future might never come. But Still, it is way better than not seeing any future right?
So, these hopes came in the form of some publisher names interested in the game, namely Square Enix, Hooded Horse, Cygames and Skybound. Just hope, but bigger hope than what we had so far.
So, pray for us, stay around, come to chat on our discord, and hopefully our Push against the odds will be successful.
Have a good day
Rinaldo
